Three target groups, many identical text blocks, a large volume of text, a tight deadline.
A professional training plan is to be put together for athletes wishing to compete in a triathlon. It is designed to meet the needs of three groups of varying ability, and covers twelve weeks. Drafted in “Excel”, in blocks of text, the plans contain countless repetitions. Manual copying is out of the question due to the urgent nature of this work.
Solution:
We met the tight deadline with the help of our Trados TM Server technology. Three translators worked on the plans in parallel. In each case, TM automatically suggested the first translated block of text to the other translators. This guaranteed consistent wording, whilst reducing the volume of text to be translated – and the cost, of course.
